PLN 150 thousand for an accident at a construction site

The story

In May 2015, there was an accident at the construction site in Płock, during which Mr. Wojciech C. suffered a serious knee injury.

He was present at the workplace at the time and, through the inattention of another worker, and was severely injured in the leg by a wheelbarrow filled with construction materials.

Mr. Wojciech was taken to the hospital, where the knee injury was considered permanent and irreversible.

Mr. Wojciech was deprived of the ability to perform work requiring physical effort and he felt constant pain
and discomfort while walking.

Moreover, he incurred high costs related to post-accident treatment and rehabilitation enabling him to return to a relatively normal functioning.

Insurer’s proposal

The Insurance Company proposed a payment of PLN 60000 for injuries sustained at the workplace.

Mr. Wojciech was not satisfied with the proposed sum, so he turned to Polska Kancelaria Pomocy Poszkodowanym for help.

Settlement received

Advisors and lawyers of our law firm thoroughly analyzed the case of Mr. Wojciech, collected the necessary documentation and prepared an appropriate strategy, which ultimately resulted in the payment of PLN 150000 for our client.

A positive resolution of the case required taking the case to court and finally, by court order, the Insurance Company paid Mr. Wojciech the amount won by PKPP.
