PLN 350 thousand for a fall from a height

The story

In March 2013 in Warsaw, Mr. Kazimierz T. suffered multiple injuries and numerous fractures as a result of a fall from a height at his workplace.

He was renovating the facade of a block of flats, and the accident occurred due to improper security of the place where the renovation works were being carried out.

As a result of his injuries, Mr. Kazimierz was unable to perform any further work, he was accompanied by strong, permanent pain throughout the convalescence period. The victim incurred additional costs for treatment and rehabilitation.

Insurer’s proposal

The Insurance Company, after analyzing the case of Mr. Kazimierz, proposed a payment of PLN 100000 for injuries sustained as a result of a fall from a high place.

However, this amount was unsatisfactory for him, so Mr. Kazimierz turned to Polska Kancelaria Pomocy Poszkodowanym for help.

Settlement reached

Initially, the Insurance Company proposed to increase the settlement rate from PLN 100000 to PLN 150000, however, consistent actions of the Polska Kancelaria Pomocy Poszkodowanym led to the transfer of a satisfactory amount of PLN 350000 to the injured party.
